Broadly, the job of any traditional company can be divided in some parts: e.g. coming up with new idea, finding the right people to carry out the execution of that idea and finally creating value for the market through a tangible transformation of that idea. A company can potentially speed up this process if it can outsource some of the above tasks by creating an eco-system with freelancers, innovators and universities. Our goal is to create this eco-system.
I –pathway : roadmap to innovation
The word “Innovation” has different interpretations depending on the context. Creating a new recipe may be an innovation to some, while Tata’s $2000 car may be for someone else. Therefore the first job at our hand is to clearly state what we understand by this term.
IFF definition of Innovation : An idea which is “novel” and has the potential to change human life in some form and degree, when implemented for practical use can be defined as an “innovation”
I-pathway is the transformation process of an idea to innovation.
Q : The first issue to be resolved is "Can we really have a “process” for innovation?"
The doubt originates from the fact that generally we view “innovation” as a creative synthesis. So can a creative journey be streamlined as a “process”? There are two ways to answer this issue. First of all, the above definition of innovation does not require us to analyze the origin of the actual idea. We are concerned only with a correct optimal utilization of that idea. Secondly, ‘creativity’ does not exist in isolation. Every creative person actually follows some tacit rules which accelerates the process of coming up with new ideas. These may include dissecting a problem from many directions, constant conscious thinking and so on. Thus in some sense, creating the atmosphere (of group thinking etc.) can itself be a huge boost to the whole innovation process. This can be done only by adopting a process.

Our aim is to help the idea blossom by providing support on all the phases, by people of relevant expertise. Therefore the focus is on the idea and not on any particular developer or domain.
